Revival in Families

Have you ever wondered why some children grow up and become just like their parents? They can sound, act, and even have some of the same habits. Statistics say most children repeat the lifestyle example of their parents in some way. For instance, happy and contented children who are musical probably grew up in a happy and contented home that had a lot of music in it.

Revival Awakens Dreams - Part Two

When many people first become Christians, they are zealous and excited. They dream of doing great things for God. Somehow, after getting into a mundane routine of going to work, church, home with family, etc., their dreams dwindle away. Pastors all over the world are devastated wanting to quit or even wanting to take their own lives! Religion literally sucks the life out of their dreams! But, when you encounter the living God on a regular basis, the God given dreams inside of us wakes up and stays alive! You cannot help but to dream again. This is what revival does to people.

Daystar Services Spread Revival

It is Friday already and I am getting ready for another Daystar Service tonight. Numerous people across the country and around the world have been touched and transformed as a result of the generosity of Marcus and Joni Lamb. They have a heart to reach people with the life changing power of revival. These days, this is far too rare. Last month, Kathy and I took a bus load of our people to do the Daystar Sharathon fundraising event with them.

Church: The REAL Problem... and Answer

I just finished speaking at our World Revival Network’s pastor luncheon. What a privilege to share my thoughts with so many ministry leaders from all over the city. We are being knit together to become a strong force here in the Heartland of America.

Family Time During Revival Time

After the big weekend, I decided to stay in St.Louis a couple of extra days and enjoy some much needed time with the family. After bartering with a carriage driver, we took a ride around the city looking at all the sites. Of course, the Arch and Riverfront were the best. Spending time with family away from home is a great way to build memories to treasure in the future. I treasure these moments and never want the day to end.

2009 Emmy® Awards Winner

This weekend I was honored to receive our second Emmy® Award for “The Steve & Kathy Show.” “Real Preachers of Genius- Door to Door Evangelist Guy” won in the religious category. I am quite thankful to be able to bring home a win in this category again. These awards are very prestigious and extremely competitive in every genre. However, I would really like us to be able to do the same in other categories as well. Personally, I would like to see faith-based TV put into its own category in the minds of mainline media.

Emmy Awards!

Another dream of mine that has also come true is “The Steve & Kathy Show”. Who would have thought a no-name small town preacher would ever end up to be the Executive Producer of an Emmy Award winning, groundbreaking faith-based television show. Kathy and I have heard it all; “It can’t be done, no one will watch, or TV is too expensive.” They were wrong! We did it and did it well. So well in fact, The Steve & Kathy Show has four more Emmy nominations this year!

Crocodile Pastor-Lifelong Friend

He may live down under, but it doesn’t stop him from being an “over the top” friend! Let me tell you why. Ever since the first year of Smithton Community Church in 1984, Col has not only maintained our friendship, but will often take time away from pastoring a revival hungry congregation to come and minister at World Revival Church.

All of this and Col still has time to be a bestselling Australian author and an exemplary family man. Col is a rare treasure as he is really a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Revival Awakens Dreams – Part One

One thing I always try to keep in my life is a sense of adventure! Without adventure and fun, life can often become monotonous and even boring. For example, I love to go boating on the lake with my family. While out there I had the thought, I wonder what it would be like to jump off this boat and dive into the water while going 45 miles an hour. Why not give it a try?

Guest Post from Kathy

Hi. This is Kathy.

It's a lot of fun working with Steve. And we've been working together full-time ever since we got married. Well "fun" may not be exactly the right word to describe living and working with him. Let me put it this way. When Steve asked me to marry him these were his exact words, "I can't promise you we'll be rich. But I can promise you that we'll never be bored!"
