I am happy to report that our relief effort to Burma is going pretty well. Unfortunately, I think people get de-sensitized by so much news of so many disasters. I watched FOX news as they reported on Burma and the very next story was the terrible quake in China. I think some people just block it all out and stop responding to the many cries for help coming from around the world.
We are just now being able to comprehend the power of the media when it comes to "God things." It is no longer a matter whether God is really doing anything. What matters is if someone in the media says God is doing something and the rest of us get in line. It shouldn't be that way, but it is. The obvious problem is that the media could be wrong and they are not necessarily interested in what God does as much as they are at what you do, like watch their network or read their magazine. I think using the media is good. We just better make sure that we can deliver the goods that we claim to have available.
The "Casting KC" is just now really taking off. If you haven't heard, we are expanding the cast of The Steve and Kathy Show to include some of Kansas City's best talent. We've already got a nice number of applications and I have been told that some of them look pretty good. Tell your friends about this great opportunity.
