This weekend I was honored to receive our second Emmy® Award for “The Steve & Kathy Show.” “Real Preachers of Genius- Door to Door Evangelist Guy” won in the religious category. I am quite thankful to be able to bring home a win in this category again. These awards are very prestigious and extremely competitive in every genre. However, I would really like us to be able to do the same in other categories as well. Personally, I would like to see faith-based TV put into its own category in the minds of mainline media.

One of the things I find the most rewarding about being on television is the opportunities it brings to minister to people. A lady who attended the Gala event recognized Kathy and I from our Daystar broadcasts. She walked over to our table to ask if she could get a picture with us and if we would pray for her. We ended up praying for her during the program while someone else won and went up to receive their Emmy.

God is always looking for opportunities to touch people’s lives. In our culture, television done in a non-religious and life giving way may be the answer to taking revival to the nations.
