Well, we did it! The live simulcast with Daystar was quite a night and, really, an honor for Kathy and I and our World Revival Church congregation.
I want to thank everyone who participated in the special sharathon broadcast. We had a good flow between Kansas City and the Texas offices of Daystar, and I could sense the corporate power of God on us all, helping make the night a success.
I loved hearing Marcus share his heart for revival and why they air our services. He said, “People need to see revival, they need to hear revival. They need a model so it can happen in other churches.” He and Joni have made a big commitment to touch people’s lives with revival and it was great to work hand in hand with them during the sharathon.
I’ve got to admit, it was a little tricky going between being on camera for Daystar and the times we were off. Our team was using a whiteboard to cue me as I preached, so I was shifting between preaching for the Daystar viewers (whiteboard: “We’re live - keep going!”) and preaching for the home crowd (whiteboard: “We’re NOT live”).
Somehow I guess I preached a message that made sense! Kathy didn’t hear a word I said because she was so caught up in what she was hearing in the earphones from Daystar and thinking about me staying on track! (Don’t worry… she’ll get the CD and listen to it this week!)
We’re still waiting for the numbers to come in, but I think it’s safe to say that Friday night was a big vote YES for revival. I think people are capturing the enormity of what these live broadcasts from the Kansas City revival mean for the world and their support showed it.
And… looking ahead, we’ll be live on Daystar through May and hopefully beyond. Tomorrow night, viewers will have to head over to our website to catch us live on streaming, while Daystar finishes up their two weeks of sharathon. Then, beginning March 12, we’ll continue speaking to the world every Friday night as revival goes forward on Daystar!
Yours for revival - Steve
